San Agustin was the first holiday resort in Gran Canaria, but it has continuously renewed itself and is still very popular with families and couples alike. San Agustin has two beautiful beaches, Playa de San Agustin and Playa de las Burras. Both have dark, fine-grained lava sand and plenty of space. The beach restaurants offer a nice lunch with great views of the beach and the sea. From San Agustin it's not far to Playa del Ingés and the spectacular desert of Maspalomas.
