Cover-version of Ghostbusters theme using only one free software synthesizer, an electric guitar and a saxophone. Warm thanks to Jimi Ahlroos for playing the sax! So, it's Halloween again. And all sorts of cyberweeks, black friday's and other sales campaigns upcoming, making you lust for yet another synth plugin that'll take you to sound design nirvana (or so they want you to think). Time to promote yet another great free synth plugin, just for the heck of it. I just quite recently realized that pretty much all ‪@uheplugins‬ are skinnable, and found this great free GUI design called "Interstellar" by ‪@plugmon‬, with plenty of Juno-vibes. Tyrell has been sonically one of my favorite analog-style freebies for ages, but the default GUI has never really invited me to tweak it, so I hadn't seriously used the synth for anything, until now. Luckily it still runs decently on my newer Mac, although no updates have been released since 2013. I felt that this cover version absolutely required some guitar parts, so I tried my best on my 2009 Les Paul Studio, although I'm certainly not an expert on guitar tones (or playing). My friend and amazing musician Jimi Ahlroos at least totally nailed the saxophone parts. Video shot with my Fairphone 3+ camera, edited with DaVinci Resolve free version, so nothing fancy going on there. This time you'll also get the "patch reveal" part on the same video.
