We visited the city of Torres and its beautiful beaches, known as the most beautiful beach in Rio Grande do Sul. From now on, it will also be known as the Capital of Ballooning, a title officially granted in Jan/24 due to the International Ballooning Festival that has been held for over 30 years, being the largest in Latin America. The city is on the border of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, separated by the Mampituba River, which on one side is Torres - RS and on the other Passo de Torres - SC. The city has several beaches such as Praia Grande, Prainha, Praia do Meio, Praia da Cal and Praia da Guarita. In addition to these, there are others further away from the city center. It also has a beautiful lagoon called Lagoa do Violão, located right in the city center, and many other beautiful tourist attractions that are worth a visit. The history of the city of Torres dates back thousands of years, when the region was inhabited by Indians. Its colonization began after the Discovery of Brazil in 1500.
