How Does the OMMA Badge Requirement Affect Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Businesses?

Beginning January 1st, 2024, the OMMA shall require employees of all medical marijuana business licenses to apply for and receive a credential authorizing the employee to work in the licensed medical marijuana business. This credential will be received from a third-party vendor that will conduct required background checks and verification. If it is determined that the employee does not meet the minimum requirements, then the employee may appeal to the OMMA. So the employee has no rights or any way to appeal to the third-party vendor. You would have to appeal to the OMMA. And so the OMMA also would establish the costs and the prices. So right now, we don't know how much that verification process is going to cost.
