At a pep assembly on January 9, 2026, students and staff members tried to conquer The Whitney Houston Challenge. The goal is simple: hit the drum exactly in sync with the big break in Whitney's song. Actually, that's not simple at all! Thanks to all the students and staff members who tried (and occasionally succeeded) The Whitney Houston Challenge! ---- Community Consolidated School District 89 serves more than 2,300 preschool through middle school students from Glen Ellyn, Lombard, and Wheaton, Illinois.
