We Missed Our Train… TWICE! | Exploring a Charming English Town

This was supposed to be a simple travel day from the Keflavik Airport in Iceland to a charming English town called Matlock… but somewhere between missed trains, new towns, and a few answered prayers, it turned into one of the most memorable days of the trip. After landing in Manchester, our plan was to catch a couple of trains and arrive in the English countryside by dinner. Easy, right? Except we missed our connection in Piccadilly… and then missed the next one too 😂 Somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, we ended up in the little town of Chorley, where we met the kindest ticket master and discovered that sometimes the best travel memories come from plans that don’t go according to plan. 📍 Route: Manchester Airport → Manchester Piccadilly → Chorley → Sheffield → Derby → Matlock 🚆 Highlights: Missed trains, answered prayers, and the friendliest ticket agents in England ✈️ Next Stop: Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, England!
