Seeds of Conscious Fashion
This is a short documentation of the "Desi Cotton Workshop" that was organised by Upasana in 2017, to mark the launch of Upasana's Conscious Fashion Hub project. This event hosted eminent personalities who have been involved in mobilising organic and indigenous cotton seed movement in India. The event was attended by students, activists, environmentalists, designers, and many people from different backgrounds. Upasana's Conscious Fashion Hub is based on principles of ethical business, slow fashion, fashion revolution, fair-trade and community empowerment. It is a platform to open discussions and answer questions to tackle present day social issues such as farmer suicides in India, plastic pollution, fashion waste production, women empowerment and employment, craft empowerment and many more.
