Successful checkride! 4.5 hours on the ground which covered a lot of material as well as scenarios, and 1.2 hours in the air. Going in I was mostly concerned about the hover auto, which we did immediately, and I absolutely nailed it. Notably we didn't do slopes, air taxi / quick stop, settling with power, 180 auto-rotation, max performance, or confined area operations. He had asked me to do a 180 auto-rotation while inbound at the end, but changed his mind due to airport traffic. I found the DPE to be very calm and friendly, very nice guy. Asked a lot of tough questions and put me through my paces, but definitely fair and straightforward. He legitimately surprised me with the forced landing auto-rotation with ENGINE FAILURE and ROLLED THE THROTTLE OFF(!) but thankfully I was all over it. In the lead up to the ride, I had actually anticipated he'd ask me at that exact spot, but I was thinking more about setting myself for the entry to the pattern. In all, I was maybe a little tense but otherwise felt I did a great job with my maneuvers. The only one he offered a bit of a tougher critique was the run-on landing, though I had purposefully cheated to the right to try to line it up to slide cheating into the crosswind. In hindsight, I should've gone straight down the middle of the runway. Wind was a little tough at various parts, but overall happy with my performance, felt in command and control. Onward!
