As the Micheal Tait (DC Talk, The Newsboys) story intensifies, Shawn Davis is introduced. Shawn is the man responsible for spearheading the movement to get out, what is becoming, one of the biggest CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) industry scandals in modern history. Davis was 16, almost 17 years old, when he first met Tait in the early 2000's. Tait was in his late 30's. Within the full interview from which this teaser was created, Davis shares a heartbreaking story on how he was groomed, introduced to drugs and alcohol, being drugged, ultimately leading to being molested and sexually abused by Tait. Davis has been connecting with other victims as he has been trying to get his story out. After being ignored for the last few years, Davis, and other victims, are finally being given a voice after Tait stepped down in early 2025 from being the front man of The Newsboys. "Shadows in the Spotlight" is a developing docuseries, currently being produced.
