Tommy's Trains - 87 Class at Newcastle Central Station

We joined what seemed like another 100 trainspotters at Newcastle Central Station to see the much anticipated 87002 Royal Sovereign train. We also got a surprise when a 155 class Northern Train arrived from York. Our evening started at Seaton Delaval where we caught a train into Newcastle on the new Northumberland Line. We thought that would be a nice change from our local station in Cramlington. Seaton Delaval has a single platform and is on a single line. The Northumberland Line has proven to be very popular since opening just before Christmas and it'll be interesting to see how much busier it gets when Newsham and Bebside opens, hopefully in February. We met Alfie and his Dad at Seaton Delaval and chatted with them on the journey. They are trainspotters we have seen multiple times at Cramlington and Tommy loved chatting trains with them. Tommy was further elated when he met other trainspotters he knew including Harry, Tristan and Aidan. We must give a big shout out and thank you to Mickey who subscribes to our channel and came over to say hello. He brought Tommy some gifts which was unnecessary but gratefully received and made Tommy very happy. Lots of other people mentioned they watch Tommy's work which is always nice to hear.
