#hampi #karnataka #southindia #indiaheritage #unescoworldheritage #southindia #travelfilms THE VISION: My solo bike journey across India is about uncovering stories hidden in every corner of the country. I aim to truly understand each state by living like a local, experiencing the culture, the food, the people, and the narratives that make each place unique, revealing the hidden, interesting aspects simply by changing perspective. I seek out untold stories—tales that deserve to be filmed, not just showcased with drone shots or glossy visuals, but captured through the beauty of the place: aesthetically, emotionally, and historically. From exploring the ancient martial arts of Kerala, to witnessing a substance-free community in Puducherry, to immersing myself in the art and adventure of Tamil Nadu, my journey now brings me to Karnataka—a land rich in history, adventure, and landscapes that demand to be experienced. HOW I REACHED THE STORY? In Karnataka, I visited Somnathpura, Mysuru, Bangalore, Hornadu, Agumbe, Varanga Jain temple, Hampi, and Gokarna—each place has its own story, but Hampi’s immediately stood out. The moment I rode into Hampi, something felt different. The landscape, the atmosphere, the energy—it was like stepping into another world: a world full of stories, silence, and broken beauty. and as an art director, I fell in love at first sight. I had heard of Hampi before, but nothing prepared me for what I was about to witness. Curious about its past, I delved into its history—and what I discovered left me speechless. Understanding the truth behind these ruins gave me a completely new perspective. I even revisited many spots, and each time, the experience gave me goosebumps. The more I explored the historical ruins and monuments, the deeper my connection grew. Sunrises and sunsets here, framed by ancient architecture, are surreal. Once one of the richest cities in Asia, now stands in ruins, earning its name: The Lost City. Yet despite its brokenness, this city made me feel larger than life. After visiting eight places across Karnataka, I knew Hampi deserved its own film—a story that shows its broken beauty, the emotions it evokes, and the depth of history that makes it far more than just aesthetically stunning. THE FILM: I tried to capture this story with the feeling that visiting this place is something larger than life. The city, rich with architecture, carries the essence of a bygone era. At first glance, Its ruins may make it seem like nothing is left, that everything is destroyed — but once you connect with its history, this khandar will tell you the story of its past. When you pause and look closely, every stone and carving becomes a piece of art. And when you begin to understand that art, you uncover the mystery behind it. Wandering through the city and its monuments at sunrise, and especially at sunset, feels nothing short of surreal — like stepping into a living painting. Through this film, I wanted to share that personal experience — the wonder, peace, and connection I felt while exploring this timeless place. This film is just a travel story — a journey of perspective. It’s about finding beauty in decay, peace in silence, and meaning in the forgotten corners of history. Every frame reflects a moment of stillness — where it feels like the past is whispering and the present stands in surreal landscapes. I hope this film inspires viewers to see beyond what meets the eye, to pause, and to feel the soul of the places they visit. When I visited this place, I truly got lost in the Lost City — Hampi. ❤️ Traveling solo takes immense effort—and making films alone even harder. Without any sponsors or external support, I do this purely for my vision: to show the real India—not just through news channels or film portrayals, but by uncovering the raw, authentic stories that make us proud as Indians.
