In this episode, the hosts, Krysta and Traci, finish their discussion of Ephesians Chapter 2. The sisters recap what was revealed to them about unity in the second chapter and discuss the Good News of peace. In chapter 2, the theme of unity has been in the forefront through our union with the Messiah and God's gift of deliverance. Key Points: • We were strangers/foreigners – without a God. • The mystery was woven into ancient times, as we see Gentiles, such as Ruth and Rahab, grafted into the line of Yeshua (Jesus). • The dividing wall or m'chitzah in the temple area kept Gentiles separated in the outer courtyard, as they were not permitted to enter the inner sanctuary (View image at https://larshaukeland.com/bits-pieces.... • Once separated from God and His promises, we have been brought in (through unity in Messiah) as citizens (single new humanity). • The tomb is like a womb, in that we can be reborn into Him as a new creature, leaving the old self behind. • It is important to consider our foundation, which is on the apostles and the prophets, with Yeshua (Jesus) as the cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). Scriptures mentioned: (Complete Jewish Bible version) • Ephesians 2: 11-23 (Please read the whole chapter) • Leviticus 19:33 - 34 If a foreigner stays with you in your land, do not do him wrong. Rather, treat the foreigner staying with you like the native-born among you – you are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am ADONAI your God. • John 7: 37 – 39 Now on the last day of the festival, Hoshana Rabbah, Yeshua stood and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, let him keep coming to me and drinking! 38 Whoever puts his trust in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!" 39 (Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who trusted in him were to receive later — the Spirit had not yet been given, because Yeshua had not yet been glorified.)
