Follow these steps to replace the printhead in HP printer: -With the printer on, open the cartridge access door, and then wait until the carriage stops moving. -Disconnect the power cord. -On the carriage, lift the printhead latch. -Holding the printhead by its sides, lift it up and out of the printer, and then set it aside. -Open a new printhead from its package. -Holding the printhead by its sides, insert it into the printer, and then lower the printhead latch. -Remove the cartridges from the old printhead, and then reinstall them into the new printhead by matching the color on the cartridge with the color on the printhead. -Reinstall the ink cartridges. -With all cartridges installed, close the cartridge access door. -Reconnect the power cord and the printer turns on automatically. -If it does not, turn on the printer.
