STONE (Xbox Series X) (Xclusive Indie Playthrough - Finale) A Harsh Reality

Check out the finale of my Indie playthrough series featuring the game STONE! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles on January 27th, 2020. It was developed & published by Convict Games. In this video, Stone's search for Alex finally comes to an end & it's not at all what he expected. STONE is a third person, adventure game where you play as a hungover koala detective known as Stone who is searching for his kidnapped lover named Alex. Stone gets woken up by a strange phone call where a mysterious voice tells him that Alex is gone and they will never see each other again. Naturally, Stone becomes very alarmed and decides to use his detective skills to search for Alex by searching various areas and speaking to people around town to see if they have any information regarding Alex's disappearance. STONE is considered to be an interactive story that is very story-driven so the gameplay is very minimal and simple. The player is able to directly control Stone around the game's world and is able to walk, talk, interact with items along with a few cool little emotes such as dancing. The game is definitely more focused on speaking to the various characters around the world rather than interacting with objects, but the there are a few sections where you have to explore the areas for objects to inspect or pick up. One of the cool little things that the devs added to the game are actual old black and white movies that the player can watch either in the movie theater or inside Stone's home. These kinds of little nods and additions to games always make a game stand out and add to the overall experience. Controls-wise the game is very simple as you use the left stick to move Stone, the right stick to move the camera , the face buttons for most actions (A button to interact with objects, B button to stop and the Y button to emote) and the LB/RB to make the dialogue choices. As for the achievements: this game includes a total of 13 achievements for a total of 1000 GS and this is actually another fairly easy completion (it will take around 2 to 2.5 hours to complete). Most of the achievements are story related (simply playing through the various acts of the game) while the rest of them are gained through specific actions or exploring the world (such as going to the cinema or ordering specific drinks at the various bars found around the game's map). I actually go through all of these achievements throughout the full playthrough so following these videos will help you gain the full 1000 GS.
