In this video, I dive into my first week exploring NAM captures, showcasing five different amps across five distinct genres, all recorded to tape via the Matribox II Pro. You’ll hear everything from classic Woodstock vibes with a ’67 Fender Bassman 50 to modern textures with an EHX MIG-50, plus the warm charm of vintage amps like a ’51 National Combo and a ’75 Fender Champ Silverface, all enhanced with carefully selected IRs, modulation effects, and analog tape. Alongside these amps, I’m also using my Samick JAD-25 with its versatile P90 pickups, and my trusty Yamaha MT50 4-track. I have to say, I’m completely blown away by the generosity and knowledge of the Tone3000 community. Every tip, every shared capture has inspired me to push further, and I hope this video honors that spirit. With my modest skills, I tried to explore the gear, textures, and tones that make this hobby so exciting, and share a little of that joy back with the community that’s given me so much. https://www.tone3000.com/morenotesles... 🎸 About the Samick JAD-25 electric guitar: Two P90 pickups, probably Epiphones, and a cherry red sunburst finish that’s absolutely irresistible. I bought this guitar earlier this week for a great price and had to show it off, even briefly. This time, I'm using Pyramid Regular strings. After a few months of playing it, I’ve found it to be more versatile than I first thought. I now love single coils and P90s equally thanks to this guitar. It’s still the lightest guitar I’ve ever played, and it was made in Korea in the late nineties. • Vintage Samick Jazzmaster (JAD-25) - budge... • Zappa on a budget? Samick JAD-25 guitar - ... 🎚️ About the Matribox II Pro modeler: The Matribox II Pro is a compact but seriously powerful modeler with a bright color touch screen, solid metal build, many footswitches, NAM/IR loading, flexible effects chains, and all the essential connections including stereo outs, USB audio, headphones, and an aux input. I bought my unit new a week ago and got a good deal, updated it to the latest firmware, and went straight into playing. I’m genuinely stunned by how far it goes. I used to own a Mooer GE150 and a Hotone Ampero, both already solid units, but Sonicake and the newer tech have pushed things further than I expected, especially in terms of gain quality and the surprisingly rich and exotic modulation effects. 📼 About the Yamaha MT50 4-track recorder: My loyal Yamaha MT50 4-track remains at the center of everything I do, handling all the audio for my videos and doubling as a dependable mixer for my synths. It’s a simple, rugged little machine that has somehow kept going strong for over 30 years, with faders that still feel smooth and a sound that has its own warm character. Despite all the modern gear around it, the MT50 continues to hold its place without complaint, proving that some tools really do earn their longevity. • Sonicware Liven Lofi-12 retro sampler: sti... • Let's sample, chop, filter, and sequence a... • Rollin' & Scratchin': Revisiting a Daft Pu... 📘 Chapters / sequences: 00:00 Intro and setup 00:22 Woodstock vibes (Fender Bassman 50, 1967) 01:42 Hazy indie (Fender Champ Silverface, 1975) 03:08 Modern soviet (EHX MIG-50, 2010s) 04:03 Fun funk (National combo amp, 1951) 05:01 Double trouble (Marshall 1959 SLP, 2010s) 👏 Credits & all gear info: ⏺️ First sequence (Woodstock vibes): Amp/Capture: Bassman 50 (1967) recorded by arlingtonaudio Impulse Response: Mesa Oversized V30 fro akka5 Effects/Modulation: Univibe Tape: Sony FX II 60 ⏺️ Second sequence (Hazy indie): Amp/Capture: Champ Silverface (1975) recorded via fandermill Impulse Response: Jensen Electric Lightning from stonepaq Effects/Modulation: Vibrato Tape: EMTEC Record II ⏺️ Third sequence (Modern soviet): Amp/Capture: Electro-Harmonix MIG-50 (2010s) recorded via heimopietilainen Impulse Response: Alnico Cream Open Back from akka5 Effects/Modulation: D-Chorus Tape: Maxell XL II 60 ⏺️ Fourth sequence (Fun funk): Amp/Capture: National Combo Amp (1951) recorded via forrest Impulse Response: Celestion Sidewinder from akka5 Effects/Modulation: Envelope Filter Tape: Fuji ZII 60 ⏺️ Fifth sequence (Double trouble): Amp/Capture: Marshall 1959 SLP (2010s?) recorded via alessandrozanca Impulse Response: Alnico Cream Open Back from akka5 Effects/Modulation: Octaver Tape: Memorex CRX IIS 💌 Shot with a Sony Alpha 6400 under the benevolence of French blogger Aurélie Lemaire: / chez_le_loft https://3raisonspour.com/ #NAM #ImpulseResponse #GuitarIR #AmpModeling #ToneCapture
