COURT HEARING: Judge compares Gavin Peterson’s treatment to WWII prisoners in Nichole Scott hearing

On May 12, 2025, Judge Camile L. Neider of the Second District Court of Utah gave strict words to Nichole Lea Scott during her sentencing hearing for murdering 12-year-old Gavin Peterson. During the sentencing hearing, Neider heard from various parties, including an emotional Scott, who cried for most of the hearing. Neider also read the same report that made her tear up during Shane Peterson’s hearing a week ago, and described Scott’s treatment of Gavin as something done to prisoners of war.
