Join me for breathtaking experience that combines stunning ocean views, lush coastal forests, and historic charm as I hike along the Heceta Head Trail on the Oregon Coast on a beautiful late-autumn day. Located just north of Florence, Oregon, Heceta Head is part of the larger Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and offers a mix of natural beauty and cultural history. The trail weaves through a dense coastal forest of Sitka spruce and western hemlock and offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and its rugged coastline. The trail's destination, the Heceta Head Lighthouse, perched on a cliff 205 feet above the ocean, is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the United States. The trail begins with the first 1.25 mile stretch along a sparsely visited beach on Oregon’s central coast, followed by the steep wooded trail leading up and over an 800’ plus “hill”, then down to the iconic Heceta Head Lighthouse.
