A couple laps riding my 2023 Husqvarna TX300 Heritage Edition with WP Pro Components suspension and an old school GP track. WP Cone Valve spring forks and WP Pro TRAXX shock both set up by Brad at Rideworx suspension ( https://www.rideworxsuspension.com ) My target for the updated suspension on my '23 Husky TX300 is better overall performance (chassis control and bump absorption) for Vet moto and GNCC style off road/woods riding. Brad developed a setting for the WP CV forks and WP TRAXX shock based on his experience working with GNCC and Sprint Enduro race teams. The WP CV forks are plush and absorbing on little chop on the trails and bigger inputs on the GP track with a controlled and progressive damping feel on bigger hits. There is a slight stiffness to the outer fork tubes on the WP CV forks that may be noticed on slap down landings compared to the stock AER forks (which have a slightly different outer tube shape). The WP TRAXX shock has a plush yet well damped feel and the TRAXX feature helps provide excellent bump absorption under acceleration and also reduces rear wheel chatter under braking entering corners. WP Pro suspension is expensive but when set up by properly works so well it helps justify the cost. Thanks again to Brad at Rideworx for dialing in the setting on these forks and shock! The TX300 is versatile.... • 2023 Husqvarna TX300 Heritage Edition Does... Other thoughts on the '23 TX300..... The subtle changes to the Husky plastic (smaller radiator shrouds, narrower front fender, and thinner seat) all combine to give the TX300 a smaller and more compact feel up front compared to the KTM 300XC. The TX300 air intake is on the left side cover so it has a little less intake noise and is more protected from the elements compared to the under the seat intake on the KTM 300XC. The 2023 Husky Heritage Edition models styling and colors are simple yet stand out get lots of thumbs up from other riders at the track. More detailed thoughts on the engine and chassis.... The all new 300 TBI 2-stroke engine with electronic power valve and throttle body fuel injections sets the bar for big power and strong linear partial throttle response. With a white map (smoother power) and green map (quicker RPM build and more power up top) it is easy to change the character of the engine with the push of a button. This engine is fast and fun to ride with almost no vibration. It runs clean with Motorex 2-stroke oil mixed at 60:1 and premium pump gas. The chassis is a great combination of cornering and stability at speed with excellent ergos. The BrakTec brakes have excellent stopping power (similar to Brembo) with a little less initial bite and a little more modulation at the lever. The stock AER forks work well especially after about 4~5 hours and if you take the time to dial in fork pressure and clicker settings for different conditions and rider weights. For off road riding I prefer the Comfort settings (and perhaps a click or two softer) in the forks and shock. The stock rear shock takes about 4~6 hours to break in and works well. I run clickers in the 18~20 range with HSC about 2.5 out. The stock 4.2 spring is a little soft for my 6'2" 190lb body and I have a 4.5 spring to install but the bike has been works so well I have little motivation to change it.
