So SEPTA has a pre-metro or light rail tunnel in Philadelphia that connects Center City to West and Southwest Philadelphia. This tunnel was built in 1920s and 1950s and was built mainly for single-ended trolley cars meaning the only sole loop in the entire tunnel is at the far eastern end at City Hall. So if the tunnel goes down for work or for emergencies, trolleys will divert to a set of on-street loops that brings trolleys over to connect with the Market-Frankford Line at 40th and Market Street. These pairs of loops were built during the construction of the trolley/el tunnel extension through University City and were retained in order to give a proper diversion route. The 11, 13, 34, and 36 use the more substantial southern loop while the 10 use the northern loop and only make it as far down as 40th-Filbert Street. All trains shown are Kawasaki LRVs built in 1982. These cars are due to be replaced by "Bendy Trolleys" soon as the order has gone out. This video is long. Check Out My: Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/nicholettecaseystrains (and support the channel!)
