Did some testing of smaller format Darkglass. Including a focus on the Dingwall Anniversary vs the B1K. Hope this will prove useful for someone :-) 00:00 Clean 00:16 Drive 50% 01:03 Drive 75% 02:09 Drive 100% 03:46 Drive 25% 04:47 Drive 0% (slight Level boost) 05:50 B1K vs Dingwall 35th Anniversary 08:05 Processed signal with drums (ampsim and IR) 08:05 Clean 08:21 Drive 50% 09:08 Drive 75% 10:14 Drive 100% 11:51 Drive 25% 12:54 Drive 0% (slight Level boost) 13:55 B1K vs Dingwall 35th Anniversary To my ears, the Dingwall is basically a B1K/B3K with a fixed 50% blend (that we already knew), and both Grunt and Mid-boost switches ON. It is a great pedal, but nothing to really miss if you don't have the chance to get one. A B1K or B3K would do the trick. I know I should have included some form of Darkglass X pedal, but I only have an X7, which is a very different kind of beast (because of the compression and LPF/HPF). You'll find other tests on the youtubes for that :-) Signal chain: Bass Fender Precision - US Performer (flatwound strings) Seymour Duncan PJ pick ups - Both PU 100%, Tone 100% -Loop via Line6 HX Stomp -Darkglass pedals -Radial JDI -Scarlett 2i2 Interface -Ableton Live 11 Lite -[Ampsim and IR] (only in second half of the video) -UA LA-2A Tube compressor Plugin ► Instagram: / spinomarxist
