On the 100th anniversary to the day of the Mount Street bridge battle of 1916 a collection of relatives and ordinary people wishing to keep the memory of the battle alive attended some moving talks by Derek Molyneux and Darren Kelly. Also featured are Dave Swift and Niamh Ní Ruairc of Claidheamh Soluis and some of the relatives of Michael Malone.It was a cool bright evening tinged with pride and sadness, but a really historic one as that anniversary will only happen once in our lifetime and it is one of the greatest battles of the Easter Rising.
