His Holiness The Dalai Lama Special Teaching for the FPMT Community

We are extremely fortunate that Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche requested his holy guru, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to give a teaching to the FPMT community and he has accepted! His Holiness will teach on the correct view of emptiness from the great 18th century master and translator Changkya Rölpai Dorjé’s text, Recognizing the Mother: An Experiential Song on the View. The teaching is very precious — it aims an arrow at the heart of the bonds that tie us to our continual disappointments and suffering — our mistaken view of the nature of reality. Understanding it is at the very core of the Buddhist path. Gen Don Handrick has kindly accepted our request and will give a short introduction before His Holiness’s teaching starts. Fifty fortunate people won a lottery to attend these teachings with His Holiness on Zoom, and to participate in a Q&A session afterward. Our very own Executive Director, Charmaine Hughes, was one of the 50 selected, so Thubten Norbu Ling will be represented at these teachings! The live webcast of the teaching will be in Tibetan with translation in English, Chinese, Hindi, French, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mongolian, Korean, German, Portuguese, and Italian via the official websites and Facebook pages of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
