"COPYCAT" (Demon) by vegtam | Geometry Dash 2.2

"COPYCAT" is vegtam's entry to AudieoVisual's ongoing creator contest, which is about using samples from other levels. Levels with samples have been released in the past, but I like that AudieoVisual took the extra steps to make a list of creators that were okay with their works being used for the contest's entries. It's also a requirement to credit the creators whose samples you use, and that is seen from 1:30 in this video for this level. I haven't checked out any entries aside from this one yet, but I'm sure I'll be seeing more in the upcoming month as the contest is nearing its deadline. Let me know if there are any released and cool entries that I should check out too. Without having played any of the others, I can't say whether this uses samples particularly well or not comparatively, but I like the way they're incorporated as a part of the level theme. Stylistically, this is more reminiscent of "The Incinerator" than his most recent levels, due to the tech designs, although this has darker neon colors and more effects. It's cool to see vegtam changing up his style so often while still producing high-quality levels. Gameplay-wise, I can't say I'm the biggest fan of this personally. That's because most of the difficulty comes from spammy parts, such as at 0:38 and 0:57, which is something I don't love. If you don't mind that, you will probably have a good time playing this.
