In this episode I'll show you how I repair and refurbish this film holders and talk about how you can perform a similar fix to your own holders for around $10 or less. Most large and ultra large format cameras made after the mid-1900's in the United States often adhere to ANSI standards but of course this is not always the case. This means that yes, to ensure the most precise focal plane alignment possible, it is best to use ULF holders manufactured by your camera's maker. However, it is still VERY MUCH POSSIBLE to find film holders made by other manufacturers which also fit your camera and to some extent, your budget. You can find more detailed information, as well as critical measurements of some common-size film holders at Richard Ritter's website.
