Olá & Aloha! It’s time for me to head to the village market here in Závora. I am in need of some food and am also curious to see what sort of food I can buy here. It’s illegal in Mozambique to film any national without their permission so I’m taking you on an ‘off hours’ quick peek of the marketplace, to show you what it looks like. In Mozambique quite a few tribal languages are spoken, but the official country language is Portuguese - due to Portugal's prior colonial rule over Mozambique. Hence, I am keen to learn some basic Portuguese phrases to get around in this little remote village. Join me as I explore around Závora and other bits of Mozambique - in search of adventure and the Indian Ocean humpback dolphins. Science! Thank you all for checking in and watching (& for Subscribing) and for being all around AWESOME! I am really loving all the comments and questions, please keep them coming!🦋 Mahalo & Obrigada, Kimberly, Salty Butterfly Instagram: http://instagtam.com/saltybutterflyph... I want to buy. Quanto custo? How much? Eu não fala Portuguese. I do not speak Portuguese. Desculpe Sorry Pão - bread bun Ovos - eggs Abacache - avocado Bananas - bananas Suco - juice Leite - milk The currency in Mozambique is called Meticais or Mets (MZN) 1 USD = 63 MZN 🌸❤️MASSIVE MAHALO ALERT!! ❤️🌸 Sending out deep heart felt THANK YOUs to everyone who has been sending me funds to help me on this exciting research journey!! I am totally blown away by the generosity this community has shown me! I’ve been getting requests to post the account information below, which is a little awkward feeling for me but I'm going to anyway. #yolo PSA: I am NOT asking for money, I have a job, a rad job. I'm a subcontractor, a freelance field research photographer and drone pilot. However, all my Indian Ocean Humpback dolphin research efforts are self funded so any bit extra helps so so much, truly! Beyond grateful, Mahalos again and again and again!! 🦋❤️ Venmo: @Kimberly-Wood-78 PayPal: PayPal.Me/thesaltybutterfly ps. Be awesome, always. Never give up.
