"The Comfort of the Rapture-Pt 2-What The Rapture Should Mean To You", 2/8/2026, Sunday AM

WHAT SHOULD THE RAPTURE MEAN FOR THOSE OF US HERE TODAY and really what should it mean for anyone in the world today? We need to understand that when CHRIST comes back in the air to receive HIS OWN whom HE has saved to be with HIM, each and every person in the world at that time will be affected by the RAPTURE! Every person in the world belongs in one of two broad general categories: I. Category 1 Are Those Folks Who ARE NOT “IN CHRIST”! (The BIBLE refers to these as: unbelievers, unrepentant, lost [i.e. not saved], the natural man, children of the devil, children of disobedience, children of wrath, and dead in trespasses and sins!) John 3:16; John 3:36 There are two subcategories of the folks in this first category: A. Category 1 Of Those Who ARE NOT IN CHRIST— Those Who Die In Their Sin Rather Than IN CHRIST! (Vs 13) 1. It Is Sad And Tragic End Because It Involves An Unnecessary Death! Hebrews 9:27; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:14-15 People don’t have to die in their sin, because ETERNAL LIFE is available as a FREE GIFT through the LORD JESUS CHRIST! 2. It Is Sad And Tragic Because It Involves An Unbelievable Damnation! Luke 16:19-31; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:10, 15 B. Category 2 Of Those Who ARE NOT “In Christ”— Those Who Are Alive When CHRIST Comes In The Air! Those who are physically alive but NOT “IN CHRIST” will be left behind to go through the awful time on this earth known as the TRIBULATION! Daniel 12:1; Matthew 24:21 The “unholy trinity” will all be active in the world and wreaking havoc on the entire population of the world! Who makes up this “unholy trinity?” 1. Satan himself will be at work in the other two! 2. The political leader known as the antichrist (a/k/a the beast, the man of sin, the son of perdition, that Wicked) will rule the one-world government! 3. The religious leader known as the false prophet will head up the one-world religion of the beast! Add to that the fact that the wrath of God will be poured out on the ENTIRE world for that seven-year period! Trust me when I say that you don’t want to be in this category! Also, you don’t want those that you love to be in this category! II. Category 2 Are Those Folks Who ARE “IN CHRIST”! (The BIBLE refers to these as: Believers, Saved, Born Again, Saints, the Sons of God or the Children of God, Brethren!) Understand that there are two categories within this category! A. Category 1—Those Who Have Died Before CHRIST Comes! [“them that are asleep” (Vs 13), “them...which sleep in Jesus (Vs 14), “them which are asleep” (Vs 15) and “the dead in Christ” (Vs 16)] These are the folks that died IN CHRIST before the RAPTURE! Their bodies were buried, but their soul and spirit are with CHRIST! Phil. 1:21, 23; 2 Cor. 5:6, 8 B. Category 2—Those Who Are Alive When CHRIST Comes! (This is the category that every BELIEVER hopes to be in!) Vs 17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them [i.e. the dead in Christ who will rise first...those that sleep in Jesus] in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air!) See also Titus 2:13 Vs. 14 says that GOD will bring them with HIM where their dead bodies will be the first to rise and be changed! Then we which are alive will be “caught up together with them” and our bodies will be changed as well! (Cf. 1 Corinthians 15:51-53) Conclusion So, for the BELIEVER, the RAPTURE should mean great COMFORT!
