New video shows shootout at eastern Washington bar

New video from the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office released to KEPR Action News shows a shootout that unfolded in the early morning hours of May 18, 2024, at a bar in Pasco. A group of people can be seen conversing directly outside the bar, then it eventually escalates, and one man can be seen pointing a gun to the back of another man's head. It all unfolded around 1:45 a.m. on May 18th when 32-year-old Eduardo Salazar tossed 26-year-old Jesus Lopez-Martinez keys to get an assault rifle from the trunk of a car. Shortly after, another man retrieved a pistol from his car and confronted the two at the entrance of the bar. Police said this video shows him try to grab the assault rifle from Lopez-Martinez before Salazar puts a gun to the back of his head. The two exchange gunfire several times before Lopez-Martinez opens fire over a dozen times with the assault rifle. No one was killed in the incident and all parties involved eventually made it to the hospital. Police said Salazar told them he didn't remember what happened at the hospital, but the man who was shot ten times told police he thought they were trying to intimidate security.
