Hello friends! Today we are making octopus salad. Ingredients Octopus (2 fresh from the deli) Onions - 1 whole Jalapenos - 4 Tomatoes - 1 whole Lime - 6 to make juice Cilantro - 1 bunch Olives (with no seeds) - 1/2 cup Garlic - 4 cloves Pimientos (red roasted peppers) - 1/2 cup Steps: 1. Wash the octopus in salted water 2. With a knife slice the arms so that it's easier to cook 3. Add salt to the water and bring it to a boil 4. Add the octopus to the boiling water and cook for 2 minutes 5. Remove the octopus and place it on a pan to cool. 6. Once cooled, cut the meat into pieces 7. Place the octopus on a baking sheet, cover it with aluminum foil, and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 250 degrees. You just want it to be tender. 6. Get small bowls ready and start prepping all of the ingredients that are going to add so much flavor to this salad: You have your onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, lime to make juice, cilantro, olives (with no seeds), garlic, and pimientos (red roasted peppers) 8. Remove the pan from the oven, place it on a rack, and let it cool for 10 minutes 9. Once cooled, remove any of the loose skin. 10. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. 11. Evenly spread olive oil and garlic over the octopus 12. all chopped ingredients, don't forget the lime juice, sprinkle salt to taste....and wala! This octopus salad is done!
