Forget Guilt: Our Easy and Healthy Grape Pie Recipe For the crust 3/4 cup rolled oats 1/4 cup almonds Grind them until they resemble flour. Combine: 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter 1 tablespoon maple syrup Mix well. Add the oat and almond flour to the butter, oil, and maple syrup mixture and mix until it forms a dough that can be pressed into a small 6-inch baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until lightly browned. Set aside to cool. For the filling 1 1/2 to 2 cups concord grapes or any sweet and sour red or black grapes. Cut the grapes in half and remove the seeds. If using seedless grapes, this step is unnecessary. Blend the grapes, not too smooth—you can leave some skin for texture if desired. Pour the blended grapes into a small pot over low heat. Add 2 to 4 tablespoons of maple sugar or any preferred sweetener, based on your taste. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Optionally, add vanilla and cinnamon. Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. To thicken the grape juice mixture, make a slurry: Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water or grape/orange juice. Gradually add it to the hot grape mixture while stirring. Continue to stir, and the mixture will thicken quickly. Pour the filling over the prepared crust. Bake again for about 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven at 350°F. Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing.
