Two of Irish Mythen's songs “Sweet Necessity” & “Maria” are featured in this exceptional performance with guest artist Anne Lindsay; on the TD Main Stage at the Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Music Festival. Irish delivered an incredible, high energy final show of the festival on the Main Stage (9:20 – 10:45 pm), on Sunday August 18, 2019. Following her solo opening songs, she brought on a succession of accompanying artists from the festival lineup. In this sequence, Irish invites one of her favorite Canadian artists onto the stage, the great Toronto fiddler/violinist/vocalist Anne Lindsay. The musical synergy between these two extraordinary performers was a highlight of the festival, as reflected by audience reaction! This melodic piece conveys the profound love, wonderful memories, endless fun, and then the raw pain of loss when without warning Maria takes flight from this world.
