Based on the Saturday morning animated series, although obviously with a darker twist. Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic) dared people to make an Inspector Gadget trailer for a reboot in his latest video, so...here you go. -- Music is the Chrispy dubstep remix of the Inspector Gadget theme. -- Disney tried for a family friendly adaptation of one of my favorite childhood cartoons and botched it in my opinion. So...why not try something new? Someone made a comment on the dubstep Gadget theme 'If someone made a darker adaptation of Inspector Gadget I'd see it' and apparently quite a few people agreed judging by the thumbs up. In my imagination all the elements would be there, but with an almost noir like feel to things. A police officer implanted with advanced cybernetics to aid in his work after an accident that nearly kills him and in fact renders him legally dead. Reborn as Gadget he begins a one man investigation into the terrorist organization MAD which pulls the strings behind a curtain of lies and coercion, his ultimate target being the mysterious mastermind at the center of the web Dr. Claw. Although he's well equipped and competent in this version, more often then not he looks to his niece Penny to help him. Sorry I could not find any decent Brain dogs despite my best efforts.
