STRAWBERRY CUSTARD CAKE RECIPE! For the Vanilla cake Ingredients : Maida – 300 gms Powdered sugar – 210 gm Baking powder – 3 teaspoons Butter – 180 gms Eggs – 3 Egg yolks- 3 Milk – 100 ml Method: 1. Take the butter in a bowl and whisk using a hand blender till light and fluffy. 2. Now add the powdered sugar and whisk again till light and fluffy. 3. Add the vanilla essence to the eggs. 4. Add the eggs one by one and mix after every addition. 5. Mix the baking powder and the flour together. 6. Add the flour in the mixture and fold lightly using a spatula. 7. Lastly add the milk to adjust the consistency of the batter to dropping consistency. 8. Divide the cake batter in two 6 inch tins. 9. Bake at 180 degree celcius for about 20-25 minutes. SIMPLE SYRUP FOR SOAKING CAKE Ingredients: Sugar : ½ Cup Water: 1 ½ cups Method: 1. Heat the sugar and water in a pan, till the sugar melts. 2. Cool this syrup and then use for soaking the cake. For the custard Ingredients Milk: 250 gms Sugar: 24 gms Custard Powder: 1 tablespoon Method: 1. Take the custard powder in a bowl and add some cold milk to it and make a paste. 2. Heat the remaining milk in a saucepan and add sugar to it. 3. Once the milk has come to a boil, reduce the heat and add the custard powder paste gradually to the hot milk. 4. Stir continuously to avoid lumps. 5. Switch the gas once the custard thickens. 6. Cool it and use. For WHIP TOPPING Whip topping: (Sweetened )- 250 gms Method : 1. Whip the cold whip topping to stiff peak stage. CAKE ASSEMBLY 1. Cut the cake horizontally in 2 layers. 2. Place one layer on the cake board and soak using some simple syrup. 3. Using a piping bag pipe some whip topping on the cake as shown in the video. 4. Now pipe some custard in between the whip topping as shown. 5. Add some chopped strawberries and place the second cake layer on top. 6. Continue the process with the remaining cake layer 7. Garnish the top layer with some whipped topping and strawberries. 8.
