(Christmas Countdown 2025 - Day 7/25) Back in August, I attended this year's rendition of Hooton Park Bus and Aviation Day - One of now two events each year where they open the site's vast bus collection to the public. The first of three recordings from this year, Was this ECW Bristol VRT, Which was new to United Counties Omnibus Company in April 1981 as their 952. The company was privatised and sold to Stagecoach to form Stagecoach United Counties in November 1987, Which lead to her being painted in the striking Stagecoach Stripes scheme for a time. It was withdrawn and sold to Buckby Of Rothwell in 1999, Before passing to Maye Of Astley (Mayfield Travel), Continental Coaches of Eston, Ellie Rose, Hull, and Tees Valley Luxury Coaches through the 2000s, Being sold into private preservation in 2005. It's restoration was completed in 2021, and is now a regular at rallies around the North West.
