Make the stamp visible layer (or a duplicate layer if there is just a background layer). 2. Do the unsharp masking with the goal of over sharpening the image. View at 100% or 67% to do this evaluation. Start with 200/2/1, but if more sharpening is needed to look over sharpened try 300/3/1. If less, try 150/1.5/1. The goal is to at least slightly over sharpen the image with a little bit of halo visible. 3. Turn off the sharpened layer’s visibility. 4. Make an Edge mask. 5. Blur the edge mask 2 pixels. 6. Do a Maximum adjustment of the edge mask that matches the radius of Unsharp Mask. 7. Invert the Edge Mask. 8. Apply the Edge Mask to the sharpened layer. 9. Turn on the visibility of the sharpened layer back on. 10. Adjust mask density to make stronger sharpening or layer opacity for less sharpening.
