Episode 1177 Alan (Alan Browning) is at the end of his tether with Ivy (Lynne Perrie) causing trouble for Elsie (Pat Phoenix) at the warehouse. John Fitzpatrick (Terence Sewards) tells Elsie it would be best to evict Ivy from No.11. Rita (Barbara Knox) and Terry (John Barratt) argue about him skipping the match but Terry threatens to tell his Dad about her interest in Ken (Bill Roache). Ivy goes on a date with warehouse storeman George Harrop (John Malcolm), he suggests Ivy move in with him. She considers George's offer but decides to return to Jack (Bert Gaunt) and leaves No.11 for good much to the Howard’s relief. At the Rovers, customer Tommy O'Riley (Tommy Ryan) announces that Stan's brother-in-law Archie (John Stratton) is coming to stay for a while. Mr. Perkins (Wensley Pithey) is unhappy to find graffiti about Ken and Rita on the blackboard.
