Today we are putting our SavorYe against MSG to see which one is a better flavor booster. You can get SavorYe here: https://tinyurl.com/4ysbvan5 need any MSG: https://amzn.to/3Y6fnuG In this experiment all the patties had 1.5% salt and .22% black pepper The SavorYe patties had .7%, 1.4%, and 2.1% of SavorYe along with the salt mentioned above. The MSG patties had .55%, 1.5%, and 1.65% of MSG along with the salt mentioned above. While I thought that the MSG did elevate the umami flavor of sample 1 the overall flavor was very linear and highly noticeable. The SavorYe on the other hand brought more subtle complexity. Increasing the recommended amount of MSG became counterproductive to the flavor and started to bring a very synthetic, metallic, and almost bitter flavor to the food. Increasing the amount of SavorYe increased the flavor exponentially. The flavor was well rounded and multidimensional. The only issue I noticed regarding the SavorYe was at the higher dose the food was starting to taste a little salty.
