Very hot conditions will persist, resulting in heatwave conditions across parts of the Western Cape until Sunday. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued impact-based warnings, including an Orange Level 5 warning for severe thunderstorms that may lead to flooding in vulnerable areas such as roads, low-lying regions, and bridges, potentially causing damage or loss of infrastructure in the northern parts of the Northern Cape Province. Additionally, a Yellow Level 2 warning has been issued for severe thunderstorms in the surrounding regions of the Northern Cape Province.
