November 28, 2024 Leroy Brown is our latest "special" intake. We received a call from a veterinary clinic about him. He was trapped at a colony for TNR but was found to have irregular movements in his eyes. The colony caregiver was happy to cover his costs at the clinic for them to do a basic work up to rule out some of the more common causes of ocular issues, including FIP. He obviously wasn't a candidate to release to the colony and she wasn't able to keep him so we were contacted. So far we don't have a definitive diagnosis. He was seen at UCD yesterday and at this time his diagnosis is "idiopathic nystagmus". Otherwise, he is a healthy, normal albeit a bit feral- kitten. We'll observe those quirky eyes while we work on his people skills.
