UPGRADE! RCV Axle Installation
In this episode we repair the axle damage that was done on the last run. Decided to go with the RCV axles for a couple of reasons. First, they are a stronger option, maintaining a 100% strength throughout the complete turning radius without binding. Second, cost. By the time we purchase chromoly shafts and heavy duty U-joints, we're half-way to the cost of RCV axles. Add the cost of the last two repairs, you're almost there. So, in the long run, I think it will be a cheaper option. This is a very easy install, the hardest part being seating the dust cover onto the CV joint. This process took a little longer because we had to reseat the lower ball joint that got pushed out a little during the axle U-joint break. The repair went smooth and the results have been fantastic. The axles roll good, perform well and turning is real smooth. Very pleased with everything so far. Thanks for watching...if you have any questions, hit me up below.
