🥨 Back with another episode of @baking.with.blair! 🥨 This week, Blair wanted to try her hand at making homemade soft pretzels, and of course, we went straight to @buzzfeedtasty for a fun, kid‑friendly recipe. 👩🍳 They turned out SO GOOD – soft, golden, and perfect for dipping in cheese or mustard! Save this for your next family baking day. 🫶 ✨ Soft Pretzel Recipe (Tasty Inspired) Ingredients: • 1 ½ cups warm water • 1 tbsp salt • 1 tbsp sugar • 1 packet active dry yeast • 4 ½ cups all‑purpose flour • 3 tbsp oil (2 for dough, 1 for greasing bowl) • ⅔ cup baking soda • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash) • Coarse salt for topping Directions: 1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, salt, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. 2. Mix in flour and 2 tbsp oil until dough forms. 3. Knead for 5–7 minutes, then place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. 4. Preheat oven to 450°F. 5. In a large pot, bring 5 cups water + ⅔ cup baking soda to a boil. 6. Divide dough into pieces, roll into ropes, and shape into pretzels. 7. Boil each pretzel in baking soda water for 30 seconds, then place on a lined baking sheet. 8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt. 9. Bake for 10–15 minutes until golden brown. 10. Cool slightly… and enjoy!
