On June 22, 2023, at approximately 0027 hours, officers were dispatched to a bar, in reference to a battery incident. Upon arrival, the manager and a male individual provided details of the altercation. The man explained that a female, known to him as Chelsea, had aggressively pushed him off his chair at the bar. Security escorted her out, but she returned and pulled his hair, causing him to fall to the ground. He expressed his desire to press charges and obtain a restraining order against her for his safety. Video footage confirmed the sequence of events described by him. Subsequently, Chelsea was located and arrested for battery and resisting arrest. She was charged with violating Florida State Statutes related to battery and resisting arrest without violence. Her confrontational behavior continued at the detention center, where she refused to comply with instructions from detention deputies.
