SUSD new middle school is John F. Kennedy Middle School with mascot Stingers

It’s official. The new Sanger Unified School District middle school name is John F. Kennedy Middle School and the mascot is the Stingers. The new name and mascot for the new Middle School on the Sanger Education Complex, where Sanger West High School is, was voted on at tonight’s Sanger Unified School District School Board meeting. By a vote of 6-0, with one absent, the School Board voted to accept the recommendation of the committee naming the new middle school. John F. Kennedy Middle School principal Dr. Soki Siv made the announcement and was joined by the new middle school incoming 7th graders and the committee. School Board Trustee G. Brandon Vang said,”I am extremely excited,” and said this is the second comprehensive middle school in addition to Washington Academic Middle School in the district. Here is rhe video and photos of the presentation and pictures of the committee, which includes the principal from the feeder school sites John Wash, Sequoia, Lone Star and Del Rey, students and Dr. Siv and students ana Dr. Siv with school board members. The video also contains future 7th grade students sharing therthoughts. Stickers were handed out.
