RCTS The Dalesman Nº 2 and LCGB The Two Cities Limited Rail Tours - June 1968

Here is another of the 8 mm railway colour cine films that I acquired a couple of years ago, which came from an ex Derby Works employee and which I have since had digitized. This film features two railtours, dates from June 1968 and, according to what has been written on the film lead-in, features the following clips: The RCTS (West Riding Branch) Dalesman Nº 2 Rail Tour between Stansfield Hall and Copy Pit plus a quick glimpse of Carnforth behind Britannia Class Nº 70013 'Oliver Cromwell'. This tour took place on 16 June 1968. The LCGB (North West Branch) Two Cities Limited Rail Tour from Liverpool to Manchester, hauled by BR Class 5MT Nº 73069 and Stanier Class 8F Nº 48033. In this clip we see the train at Ancoats Junction, Manchester Victoria and Earlestown. This tour ran on 23 June 1968. The quality is obviously not up to today's standards but, in the process of digitizing it, it has been brightened and made a little clearer than it was originally.
