Here's our DIY trip to Shirakawa-go in November! ❤️ From Nagoya, we took the Gifu Bus directly to Shirakawa-go. We purchased our tickets at the Meitetsu Bus Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Meitetsu Department Store in Nagoya, where the bus also departs from. For our return trip from Shirakawa-go to Nagoya, we booked our bus tickets at the Shirakawa-go Tourist Information Center, which also serves as the Bus Terminal. We opted not to join any organized tours because we wanted the freedom to explore the village at our own pace. It was an incredibly memorable trip, and visiting once was not enough... hehehe. Experiencing Shirakawa-go left us eager to return, perhaps in another season.
