Relaxing Palette Knife Painting ASMR: Watch as I create a vibrant painting of a small harbor with a fishing boat and rustic buildings using oil paint, palette knife, and a little bit of brushing. For this painting, I wanted to continue practicing painting boats and architectural forms. I painted directly with a knife and in oil, without drawing anything beforehand. It was a careful process. I used cold wax medium on the water and the sky to finish up the overall feel of the piece. It might hard to see on screen sometimes, but the texture really makes a difference when you experience these paintings in person. I think this is one of my favorites so far! In my earlier recordings, I mostly set up the camera and audio recording gear, forget about them, and get into the drawing and painting. Each video I make has subtle variations that happen as a natural part of this process.
