What was supposed to be a simple ride from Ventura to Rose Valley turned into a full-on adventure. 🌯🏍️ I promised my daughter I’d meet her at Rose Valley before she left with her friends, but there was a problem… the road closed right after she went through. With no cell service, she had no idea, and if I didn’t show up, she’d be left wondering. So, I took the “scenic” detour: down the 126, over to the 5, through Lebec, Lockwood Valley, Pine Mountain, the 166, and finally up the 33 back into Rose Valley… then all the way back out again. Of course, I brought Taco Bell burritos for her and her friends — because if you’re going 200+ miles, you might as well deliver snacks. 😂 The kicker? My rear tire was already bald before I left.
