Implementing the AI Act: Data Portability, Self-Assessment, and Liability Questions with Rubén Cano

In this episode of the series IoT and IP Explained, Rubén Cano (Baker McKenzie) and I discuss the challenges and opportunites of the AI Act. Amongst other things, we will address data portability supported by AI, companies' self-assessment policies, and the liability of AI. Rubén Cano is an associate lawyer at Baker McKenzie in the areas of intellectual property and technology. He studied at the universities of Alicante, Panthéon-Sorbonne and Bocconi. He specializes in issues related to privacy, connectivity, platforms, AI and IP. He is also an academic fellow of Bocconi University where, in addition to teaching, he is involved in research projects related to digital commerce and regulation, such us EU's CIVICA project.
