Anti-Encroachment Operation in Layyah Forest Division | F&W, Punjab Punjab Forest Department has launched a massive operation against illegal encroachments in the Layyah Forest Division, Fatehpur. The Forest Department took effective action against unlawful occupants, demolishing huts, shacks, timber stalls, brick and gravel piles, shanties and concrete and iron structures. As a result of this operation, two acres of Forest Department land have been recovered. The total value of the recovered land amounts to Rs. 20 Crores. Teams from the Forest Department and Suthra Punjab participated in the operation. The Punjab Forest Department is implementing a zero-tolerance policy against the land mafia on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
