Immortal: Unchained Review - Is It Worth Playing?

Immortal: Unchained recently launched and has been deemed as a sci-fi Dark Souls-like game guns. Some people have even called it “Gun Souls.” But is this a fair comparison? Does this game live up to the standards of Dark Souls fans, recreating the deep lore, intense combat, and memorable bosses of the popular FromSoft titles? There’s been several attempts to recreate the Dark Souls experience, such as Lords of the Fallen and most recently, the Surge. The quality of many of these games has been lacking, however. When I heard about this game coming out, I was instantly hooked on the idea. A sci-fi Dark Souls-like game where you get to blast enemies with rifles, rocket launchers, SMGs, and sniper rifles?!? Sign me up. After several hours playing this game, I formed an opinion on its lore, bosses/enemies, gameplay mechanics, and overall quality. At a base price of about $50, the game has a lot to prove to the player from an indie game studio. But is it worth the price tag? Does it recreate the Dark Souls experience, but with guns and a cool sci-fi atmosphere? We cover it all in this video review/comparison.
