I never thought I would do this to my Rexes, but the blood line needed to be erased. In this solo PVE episode of Ark Survival Ascended on The Island, I take a hard look at my original Rexes. Their health and melee are strong, but their levels are far too low to compete with the new high level breeding pair I just secured. Progress means making hard decisions. Unclaiming them was not enough. They would still exist on the map; So instead, I did something far more brutal: One by one, I led my old Rexes into the ocean and fed them to wild Megalodons. Some were swarmed instantly. Others survived longer than expected because the sharks were low level. A few were double teamed and eventually dragged under. It turned into absolute chaos in the water, and the megalodons ate a good meal today. It is not often you want your own dinos to die… but for this old man, it was the cleanest way to reset the bloodline and make room for something stronger.
